The Kids
Yesterday after lunch I went outside and all the kids were "weeding". They were using machetes to cut the weeds and grass. The machetes were about 2 feet long and kids of all ages were using them, boys and girls. They were standing pretty close together swinging their machetes around within inches of their head and each other. And they were fast too. Grass was flying everywhere. Forget lawn mowers just give 30 kids machetes and you're all set. All of the kids here are so strong. After supper the power went out as planned but the generator in our house didn't work. The house was so hot! Robert got his guitar out and played for the kids. They liked it. After Robert was done we sat on the porch and looked at pictures he had on his computer.

Ayrea,
I am sorry that you have had so much heat there, especially in the evenings. As you know, it has been mostly cool in Abilene these days -- except yesterday, when it began to get warm again.
Thankfully, we were all able to cool off -- by swimming in your pool. Thanks for that...

Kids and machetes? Yikes! There are obviously no lawyers in Ghana, but probably a lot of nurses and doctors! It's been awesome reading your blog. Thanks for doing this!
